In December 2017, Google.org teamed up with Chance The Rapper's Chicago based non-profit SocialWorks to bring access and education around technology to the Chicago Public School system.

Brokered by Steve Stoute, the partnership included a $1.5M donation from Google.org to SocialWorks to distribute to at-need schools in Chicago to ensure all students from all neighborhoods gained access to computers, coding classes, and technology for a fair educational playing field.

As the Executive Producer, Katie served as the liaison between the Google.org team, Chance The Rapper and SocialWorks for the announcement event. Taking place in a Chicago school selected by SocialWorks, Katie coordinated with the PR team, a pop-up coding roadshow for students hosted by Google, and a student assembly for the entire student body including a local radio DJ, exclusive gifting, talent management and stage production of inspirational speeches from David Drummond (SVP, Alphabet), Steve Stoute (CEO UnitedMasters + Translation), and Chance The Rapper.
